Building Awareness through Yoga

In these 30 minute yoga sessions we will explore yoga poses focusing on body awareness, on interoception, our ability to sense what's going on in our body like awareness of the bodies sensation like a dry mouth when we’re feeling thirsty and on proprioception our body's ability to sense it's own position and movements in space like picking up something from the floor without losing balance. Through awareness, and especially through interoception, we can identify what's going on in our body and move from a sympathetic to a parasympathetic state, which is a first step to heal.

Physical self-awareness is the first step in releasing the tyranny of the past.”
