In these Gentle Mindful, Beginners Friendly yoga classes we focus on improving our posture and movements that support our aging journey.

Replays & Membership Options

Replays are not included with the weekly live classes, but the full replay library is available for £15/month access in the Mindful (Chair)yoga Membership. In this membership you also will find support in a Monthly 1 hour live Zoom class with in the last 10 minutes of the class a Q&A or just a chat to build community.

Please note:

* During the holiday's these membership live sessions will NOT be available.

* If in the rare occasion of health and/or other problems, a last minute cancellation might be

necessary. I hope you will understand and I will try to make this up to you, one way or another.

About Yoga Teacher&TRE Provider Mary

Mary is a dedicated Yoga Teacher (500hrs) and certified TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) provider with a passion for supporting others in aging with vitality and joy—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Originally from the Netherlands, she divides her time between her home country and the Scottish Highlands, embracing a life of gratitude and connection.

With a Master's degree in Sociology (1991) and another in Chinese Language, Culture, and Literature (2006), Mary has long been drawn to Eastern philosophies. Her journey into yoga began during her studies, eventually leading her to complete a 500-hour teacher training at the Yoga Academy Netherlands in Amsterdam in 2015. A member of the Dutch Yoga Association, she has since deepened her expertise through various specialized trainings, including face yoga, pelvic floor health, breast care, fascia work, and nervous system relaxation. In 2024, she earned her certification in Yoga for Posture Improvement and became a TRE provider, integrating this powerful practice into her work.

Through yoga and TRE, Mary has built flexibility, strength, and resilience, guiding herself and others through life's challenges. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and helping individuals cultivate well-being in body and mind.

TRE Beginners Course – A 4-Session Journey to Releasing Tension

This foundational 4-session course introduces you to the powerful practice of Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE)—a simple yet deeply effective way to release stored tension, stress, and trauma from the body.

Throughout the course, you’ll:
✅ Learn the science behind TRE and how it helps reset the nervous system
✅ Explore gentle exercises that activate your body’s natural tremor response
✅ Develop body awareness and self-regulation techniques to ensure a safe and supportive experience
✅ Gain confidence in using TRE as a self-care tool for long-term stress relief

This course is a prerequisite for joining our TRE-Infused Yoga Sessions, as it prepares you to fully experience and integrate the practice in a way that is safe, effective, and empowering.

This 4-session beginners course, 75 minutes per session, will cost £25 per session, payed in full £90 .

Building Awareness through Yoga

In these 30 minute yoga sessions we will explore yoga poses focusing on body awareness, on interoception, our ability to sense what's going on in our body like awareness of the bodies sensation like a dry mouth when we’re feeling thirsty and on proprioception our body's ability to sense it's own position and movements in space like picking up something from the floor without losing balance. Through awareness, and especially through interoception, we can identify what's going on in our body and move from a sympathetic to a parasympathetic state, which is a first step to heal.

*In his worldwide recognised book The Body Keeps the Score: Mind, Brain and Body in the Transformation of Trauma, Bessel van der Kolk, MD explained: “In order to change, people need to become aware of their sensations and the way that their bodies interact with the world around them. Physical self-awareness is the first step in releasing the tyranny of the past.”
